The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) participated in the 2026 Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES), held from Monday, 2nd to Thursday, 5th February 2026. The Summit brought together major stakeholders and key players across Nigeria’s energy sector, including industry leaders, policymakers, investors, academia, and development partners, to deliberate on the future of energy in Nigeria and Africa.
As a strategic organisation committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry, PTDF continues to drive human capital development, research, and innovation to support sustainable growth within Nigeria’s energy landscape.
The Fund was represented at the Summit by selected delegates. The Executive Secretary, PTDF, Mr. Ahmed Galadima Aminu, who had been nominated to deliver two presentations, was ably represented by the General Manager, Research and Innovation Department, Engr. Olayinka Agboola, and the General Manager, Education and Training Department, Hajia Rabi’ah Umar Waziri-Adamu, who delivered the presentations on his behalf.
Engr. Olayinka Agboola participated as a Panelist on the theme “Innovating Energy for Security” on 5th February 2026, while Hajia Rabi’ah Umar Waziri-Adamu served as a Lead Speaker on the theme “Talent, Leadership & Narrative for Nigeria and Africa’s 2050 Energy Goal” on 4th February 2026.
