On 16th March 2026, at the PTDF Headquarters, Abuja, the Fund had the pleasure of hosting the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Patience Oyekunle, on an official familiarisation visit.
She was received by the Executive Secretary, PTDF, Ahmed Galadima Aminu, alongside his management team.
The session featured a detailed presentation on PTDF’s mandate, milestones, and ongoing initiatives in capacity building, research, and institutional development, delivered by the General Manager, Strategic Planning and Documentation, Mr. Muhammad Haruna.
In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary emphasized the strategic importance of the Fund in developing indigenous human capacity for Nigeria’s petroleum sector, noting its critical role in sustaining industry growth, competitiveness, and technological advancement. She further reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening collaboration, enhancing institutional effectiveness, and advancing ongoing reforms within the sector.
The visit marked an important step in strengthening collaboration and aligning strategic priorities towards advancing sustainable capacity development in Nigeria’s energy sector.
