DR GUSAU RECEIVES ASSOCIATION OF ENERGY ECONOMICS…reiterates closer engagement with bodies, associations within the oil industry
Executive Secretary, Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Dr Bello Aliyu Gusau is determined to forge closer engagement between PTDF and various bodies and associations within the oil and gas industry to facilitate effective manpower development in the sector. The Executive Secretary made the disclosure when he received the Chairman, National Association of Energy Economics, Professor Wunmi Iledare who led the executive members of the association on a courtesy call to the Executive Secretary in his office.
The Executive Secretary describes the association as one of the vehicles through which PTDF can intensify its interface with stakeholders. “Your coming to PTDF is at the right time when we are making efforts to restructure our activities, to redirect some of our operations and one of the key thing we are really focusing our attention on at the moment is closer engagement with the industry and we see bodies like yours together with SPE and others, as the very vehicle through which this engagement is going to be carried on, so I am looking forward to a more intensive engagement and interface between PTDF and various bodies that populate the industry”
Chairman of the National Association of Energy Economics, Professor Wunmi Iledare said, the purpose of the visit is to seek partnership with PTDF, with respect to the 10th anniversary of the Nigerian Association of Energy Economics (NAEE), which is an affiliate of the International Association of Energy Economics (IAEE).NAEE shares similar vision with PTDF, i.e. Capacity building for Energy Professionals in Nigeria’s oil, gas and power sector.
